Designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr, Robert Trent Jones Jr (Mountain Course). There are two courses, the Championship Course and the Mountain Course. The Championship Course is a long and humbling layout, with excellent views of Lake Tahoe. Fairly high rough, pine trees, and fir trees create narrow fairways. Add water, a few blind shots, and demanding greens to the mix, and you can see why many golfers consider this one of the hardest courses in the Reno-Lake Tahoe area. The Mountain Course is a short, steep, executive target course with many of the same hazards as the longer Championship layout. Golf season runs May through October. The yardage listed is for the Championship Course. Both courses have undergone or are undergoing extensive renovation, so call the pro shop or visit the website for more information. From Truckee (about 19 miles southeast to the course): Take Highway 267 to Lake Tahoe. Turn left onto Highway 28 and go six miles to Incline Village.
