Designed by Robert Muir Graves. Few municipal golf courses are longer in yardage from the back tees than Boundary Oak. Set in the rolling hills just below Mount Diablo, the fairways are roomy off the tee, but trees and water (six holes) do come into play. The greens are sloped and quick. From within Walnut Creek: Off I-680, exit at Ygnacio Valley Road and head east. At Oak Grove Boulevard, turn right. Turn right on Valley Vista Road.

Designed by Steve Lagarra. Bradshaw Ranch is a well-maintained short course that has increased its challenge by adding several new traps and mature trees. Players must also negotiate over two lakes. From within Sacramento: Off Highway 99, exit at Florin Road and drive east. Turn right on Bradshaw Road.
